All other things being equal (same intelligence, same wit, same self-discipline, same physical attributes), a man who looks good, who dresses better, grooms himself well and walks tall with a warm smile and strong eye contact will do better in all aspects of his life.
The list of benefits below add up to almost a superpower.
Why don’t more men make use of this?
Maybe they don’t realise that it’s worth so much to them.
Maybe they think it’s shallow.
Whatever the reason, this attitude is so misguided and costs men so much.
Check out the list below:
Benefit 1: There’s a pay premium attached to looking good.
Simply put, people who look good get paid more. Recent studies show that the pay premium is 4%. In other words, looking good means that you can expect to get paid on average 4% more than an average looking man. For doing the same job. Does this sound fair? Who cares. Seriously who cares. Just use this knowledge to your advantage.
As with all statistics, the flipside is also true. If you look below average, you will get paid below average. Think about that for a second. Why would you accept lower pay than an average looking man for doing the same job, just because you look worse? That’s insane right?!

In Praise of Vanity -You already know that losing weight and building muscle will make you look good. Now scientists are finding that looking good will make you healthier and wealthier than you ever imagined
Benefit 2: People just treat you better.
We know this is true because we do this ourselves all the time.
If your barista looks hungover, has unwashed hair and dirty fingernails, you’re going to think twice about your coffee. If your barista has a cool haircut, a clean, interesting t-shirt and a welcoming smile, you’re going to think well of that person.
If you interview two people and one is overweight and wearing a badly fitting suit, you’re going to think less positive things than the second person who is in good shape, well-groomed and wearing a great suit that fits like a dream. Again, you might think this is unfair and again I will say ‘Who cares!’. This is the way the world is. To resist is to spite yourself. Why handicap yourself unnecessarily?

Benefit 3: Women find you more attractive.
This is a well-known no-brainer.
Let’s go deeper.
Why do women find well-dressed men more attractive than an averagely-dressed man? Part of the answer is in the word ‘averagely’.
Average is never a good thing in dating.
Women want to be with a man of high status. High status is indicated by how a man behaves in society and how he is treated by society.
You’d assume average status for a man that dresses in boot-cut jeans, polo shirt and jacket, with maybe a pair of Converses.
However, what would you assume for a man in a bespoke suit and booted brogues? Or a man in awesome streetwear and in-your-face trainers?
Why do the last two convey high-status?
It takes self-confidence to dress in a way that stands out for all the right reasons.
Self-confidence means you’re more likely to take on risks and be more successful.
Being more successful means that you’re a high-status male.
